I spoke at length with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support today. The delay is, as of now, inherent to the Iris platform, how the app, cloud and hub interconnect.
I have V3 Hub and the latest firmware for the hub and wireless cameras. I was told to expect improvements in the future.
I am a cloud support specialist myself for a CAD program and understand the technical limitations but also know there's room for improvement now, and in the future.
I could return and invest in Nest, but at about $400 more for less equipment, and I have serious privacy concerns with Nest/Alphabet/Google and what data they may be pilfering.
Iris seems to be the least intrusive at this point, I think they need the resources and Dev team to take it to the next level. Hopefully, the new buyer will provide this.
Overall, I am happy with the system and would be 100% if the delay were resolved. It records as it should, I may just buy a cheaper realtime to monitor the areas I need until the delay issue is resolved.
