We're selling a house with a Iris system installed in it. The system (and all the sensors) will transfer to the new owner. For this system, we're just using the free/basic plan.
What's the easiest logistical way to transfer the service to the buyer. I suppose I could just update the name/email address in the account information? But the security questions? Anything else?
You could do a factory reset and then tell the new owners they need to setup their own account when they get in the home. That would mean they would have to re-pair all the devices. Might be good practice for them.
The easiest solution right now would be to update the email address / phone to the new owner's email address and phone, and set the password and security questions to be something generic (and let then new owners know what that is). The new owners can then change the password and security questions to whatever they prefer.
