Withour power, my 2nd gen hub runs on regular alkaline AA batteries for only 4 hours. Is that normal? Somehow I expected more.
What's the experience with using lithium batteries (like those marketed as 4x or 8x advanced lithium)? Are they recommended? I know some other electronics I own only advise regular alkaline (not sure what the reason is), but what about the IRIS hub? I don't see any mention of battery type in the support articles.
Another update to add - my hub also does not take lithium batteries. It just does not switch to batteries at all if I use lithium. Anyone else has this problem? So having only 4 hours on regular batteries is pretty sad. Many power outages last longer than that.
