FYI. Get the new contact sensors. Not the old ones. Then you make them a door instead of a window. Name them easily so you know that it really is a a window. You can make them doors or windows. Then under the doors and locks you can see if they are open or closed. I never tested out if you can see if the windows are open or closed. I don't think that you can. If you make teh Contact sensor a door it tells you if it is opened or closed.

My name is Jared. I have over 50 smart home devices. I have the pro monitoring, the backup 4g modem, I am glad there are batteries in the iris smar home home, which you should change every three months, that gives you the ability to have your smart home working even when the power is out. I do have a backup battery UPS that keeps everything on for about 8 hours. I feel completely protected by IRIS. It gives you peace of mind. The IRIS Support folks are great. If anything isn't working they work with you and help you get your device workings again. Don't take no for an answer. Everything is always fixable by completly expelling it through a tech agent with their tools and repairing. Sometimes you just have to do that. The distances that IRIS works with is great too. I ahve a 1400 square foot house and my osram garden light work perfect at night even though they are outside. I have alexa and google home. These are fully integrated. I say OK Google or Alexa! and tell her or her to turn down the air to a cool 69 degrees and if it gets too cold I can set set to 71. It does without me having to lift a finger. I can tell alexa in each room to turn on and off my fans. I have door locks where I can buzz the housekeeper in. I have three cameras in the house to make sure I know whats going on at all times. I mainly like to watch my pets and see what they do when I am not at home! The keyless entry is great. I punch in a code and don't have to deal with keys with the locks that are upstaris. I don't even have to punch in a code when I get home because I can run a scene and when I get home it unlocks the doors for me, shuts the garage behind me and turns off the alarm with no user intervention. It just knows when I home. If I forget to lock up and the last person leaves the house it locks up and turns on the alarm. I have a scene that runs twice a night that turns the alarms to partial and locks all the doors so I can feel secure that we are protrected at night from any intruders and it is all automatic. I have a motion detector that doesn't detect anything under 35 pounds so I have motion protection when I am not at the house. If anything over 35 lbs comes in the entry the alarm goes off. If the alarm goes off I can pop on the camera and see what is going on. I can tell the peopel that call me if there really is an intruder in my house. IRIS makes everything so convenient and protected. One last mention is the leak protectors. We had the laundry room leak and it notified us and we didn't have a water loss because of it. This system is amazing and everyone should have one. Pretty soon I am getting the water softner and water shut off valve for extra protection and water managment. I love the water heater amnagment. I can turn up and down the water to save power. The thermostate schedule helps keep the temp managed when we aren' t there. THere are just so many benefits to automating your life. IRIS Really is smark. This really is an Intelligent Resource Internet System. Keep coming out with new products. I want them all. I am trying to talk my mom into getting this. It would make her life so much easier! Thanks IRIS
